Oh boy.  We see it time and time again.  People who ignore the signs their car needs help or maintenance.  It's not as hard as you may think.  For one, you have a story board or cluster board that alerts you to things a miss.  Check it regularly.  You also have your instinct.  Trust it regularly.  When you ignore the signs your vehicle gives, what could be a simple repair or fix becomes a much bigger problem.  Today, I'm on my way to work.  I suddenly feel my car shake and the wheel rattling around in my hands.  I get out, walk around and inspect the car.  Everything looks great.  Maybe it was the road I was on?  There were several pot holes and dimples in the tar, so I get back behind the wheel and proceed.  I decide, no, there's definitely something wrong!  I drive slowly to the tire shop.  They inspect the tires and whadda ya know!  There's 3 HUGE bubbles on the inside and it's seconds from blowing.  Had I ignored my instincts because it "looked" OK, I would no doubt have been left stranded somewhere on the highway.  Maybe even bent the rims up and costing myself a LOT more money.  In 10 minutes, I was back on the road in a SAFE vehicle for $35.00.  I can't ask you all enough.  Please don't ignore the signals your vehicle offers.  If something is a miss, do your due diligence to identify the problem and address it.

We do, we really do.  You work hard for your money and you want to use that money wisely.  We realize not all used car dealerships conjure up warm and fuzzy feelings.  A lot of times, you come onto a used car lot already in the frame of mind we're rip off artists.  After almost 60 collective years in the buy here pay here industry, we, too, have some experiences that leave us wanting to clear the air with our buyers.  

 

Buy here pay here dealerships offer people an option when other dealerships turn you away.  We all fall on hard times and at Roney Auto Sales, we don't believe financial strain defines you.  We don't believe a hiccup or two (or three) define you.  We treat everyone with respect.  We have candid conversations about our inventory and are happy to show you the final prices on any car you're considering.  We welcome shopper's who bring along a trusted mechanic when looking.  We also welcome you to take any car you test drive to a mechanic for review before purchase (please let us know in advance so we can set you up for a longer test drive).  We don't tap dance or hit you with a hard sell blitz.  There's no hoodwinking and no bamboozling going on.  We have been in business at this same location since 1984.  We shop at the same grocery stores as our customers.  We go to the same pharmacies.  We go to the same church as many of our customers.  We are not going to sell what we wouldn't drive ourselves.  We take pride in our process for acquiring inventory.  We've worked hard to earn the trust of our community and to be of value to our community.  We're not going to risk everything we've worked hard to build just to put you in a jalopy for a quick buck.  In addition, we also offer warranty packages from GWC (we are proud to work in partnership with them and to be approved as a GWC dealership!) so you have total peace of mind.   

 

That said, these are machines with many parts and variables & they are used.  They are not brand new.  We price our inventory to allow concessions for any bumps and bruises.  Be prepared any vehicle we have on our lot is not brand new out of the package.  You will not be it's first owner should you opt to buy.  Also, consider if you're applying for financing, you're under review, just as our vehicle is being reviewed by you.  We have a rules and procedures to help us make good business deals.  We have qualifying criteria to determine if you're a good risk of our investment.  You're asking a stranger to loan you money, essentially.  You may want to present yourself as a viable risk and act accordingly. 

 

You will always be treated with respect.  We don't feel it's unreasonable to ask you to do the same.  You may have experiences that shape how you view used car dealerships or buy here pay here establishments.  We feel confident after interacting with us, you'll sense the authenticity & integrity of our operation and staff.  Go ahead, shoot from the hip.  Tell us your horror story of a bad car purchase, if you want.  Ask us questions to put your mind at ease on why we will provide you with a better experience.  We want to earn your business just as you are earning our vote of confidence for a loan.

The reason is basic...cars are machines.  Any machine requires many working parts to perform in harmony to accomplish it's intended task.  From your dishwasher, to your clothes dryer, to your washing machine.  Even a brand new car can have problems that need to be addressed in order for you to have rubber to road action.  One of my best friends just bought a brand new Mercedes with only a few hundred miles.  Know what?  It has been in the shop twice already in 2 months.  Whether you buy new or used, you can't expect to buy a car and not have to do anything but put gas in the tank.  Be prepared to take care of your car if you want it to take care of you.

There are so many working parts that enable your car to get from point A to point B.  Don't take your car for granted.  It's simple...if you take care of your car, your car will take care of you.  Before you spring for those new shoes, have you done the routine maintenance on your car?  If not, those new shoes might be your only option for getting around. Ladies, your new Coach purse isn't going to tote you to work or the grocery store.  Fellas, your new video game isn't going to transport you to work or the grocery store.  Nearly 50% of your income goes to housing and transportation.  Make the most of your every penny by taking care of your things.  Not just for reliability, but for safety purposes, too.  If you aren't willing to budget money for regular maintenance of your automobile, then you only cost yourself more money in the long run.  The way I see it, your car is your independence, your freedom, your ability to earn an income, your ability to enjoy life.  Consider it your ticket to life and treat it accordingly.

INSTEAD OF LOADING DOWN THE WINDSHIELD WITH ALL THOSE ALPHAS AND NUMERALS, WE PREFER A CLEAN, STREAMLINED LOOK ON OUR LOT AND A CHANCE TO HAVE A CONVERSATION.  WE HAVE FLEXIBLE FINANCING TERMS AND A CONVERSATION ALLOWS US THE OPPORTUNITY TO BETTER UNDERSTAND YOUR FINANCIAL NEEDS.  YOU WON'T RECEIVE A HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH HERE.  SO, C'MON IN AND LET'S HAVE A CONVERSATION.  YOU WON'T FIND AN EASIER APPLICATION OR FINANCING PROCESS AROUND!

WE'VE ALL DRIVEN OUR CARS ON "E" OR LESS THAN "E", FOR VARIOUS REASONS.  HOWEVER, DID YOU KNOW IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA TO MAKE THIS A HABIT?  RUNNING YOUR CAR WITH LOW FUEL ON A REGULAR BASIS CAN BURN OUT YOUR FUEL PUMP. IN PART, THE PUMP USES THE GAS TO HELP KEEP ITSELF COOL...NO GAS MEANS NO COOLING.  ALSO, RUNNING IT LOW MEANS YOUR FUEL PUMP IS PUMPING OUT ANY POTENTIAL RESIDUE/SEDIMENT HIDING OUT IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR GAS TANK.  CONSTANTLY DRIVING ON LOW FUEL CAN BRING YOUR FUEL PUMP TO A GRINDING HAULT.  SO PLEASE...FEED YOUR TANK AND MINIMIZE DRIVING ON "E".  IF YOU THINK YOU DON'T HAVE $20 BUCKS TO KEEP A REASONABLE FUEL LEVEL, IMAGINE COMING UP WITH SEVERAL HUNDRED BUCKS TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP ALL TOGETHER.
